The Venue
A Spanish restaurant, in Turkey, on a Greek cruise?!
We’re so excited to announce our wedding venue—La Pasion! (link to website)
Located in the heart of Bodrum, La Pasion is in a 300-year-old stone building with so much charm. We visited last October and had the pleasure of meeting the owner and head chef, Neco (NEH-joh).
Meeting Chef for the first time and taking a tour of the space (October 2024)
We chose this restaurant for many reasons, but the biggest one? The food and sangria. It was incredible! Neco and his manager, Ercan (AIR-jahn), were so kind and reassuring, answering every question we had. Their response to everything was, “Don’t worry about that, we’ll handle it,”—which is exactly what we were hoping for.
We’ll be sharing more trip details and plans soon, but here’s what to expect on wedding day:
Michael and Robby get off the boat in the morning to set up and get ready, while you’ll have time to relax on the ship or explore—whether that’s the Bodrum Castle, the many local shops, or a stroll along the beach. Around 1:00 PM, we’ll begin the ceremony, officiated by Kyle (Michael’s older brother). Afterward, we’ll enjoy delicious tapas, sangria, music, and lots of celebration.
Wear whatever you feel most comfortable and confident in! That doesn’t mean you need to be overdressed—we just want everyone to feel great. We’ll be wearing some form of suit, but please don’t feel pressure to match that unless you want to.
Once things wind down at La Pasion, we’ll start making our way back to the ship. You'll have some downtime to relax and freshen up. Our dinner reception will be at The Wake at 8pm, with Scarlet Night to follow. More details about Scarlet Night later—but for now, start keeping an eye out for something red to wear!
We know you have questions! Whether you are new to cruising, Greece, or both- we compiled a list of questions and answers here. If you have questions not listed, please reach out, so we can get them added. We will continuously add to the list, so check back often.
We’re incredibly lucky to have over 50 people from all over joining us, and we feel so honored. To help everyone get to know each other before we set sail, we’d love to host a couple of meet-and-greets this summer here in Appleton.
Please vote for any dates that would work for you here. We’ll follow up in early June with the details!
